Job summary

RISE Services is seeking a dependable Job Coach / Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities find jobs, succeed at work, and build independence. This part-time daytime role emphasizes teaching, coaching, mentoring, and problem-solving to enable participants to achieve meaningful employment.

Schedule is predominantly weekday daytime hours with travel to community settings throughout Frederick County. Paid training is provided and mileage is reimbursed for approved travel.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently.
• Ability to travel throughout Frederick County.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching at employer worksites and in community settings.
• Help participants learn job duties, workplace routines, safety procedures, and employer expectations.
• Teach workplace communication, professional behavior, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Help participants communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Encourage independence and develop natural workplace supports.
• Monitor progress and adjust coaching strategies as participants develop new skills.
• Provide ongoing support to help participants maintain successful employment.
• Help participants identify strengths, interests, and employment goals.
