Job summary

RISE Services LLC seeks a part-time Job Coach / Employment Specialist in Harrisonburg, VA to support people with disabilities in the community. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with typical hours 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and travel to local worksites is expected.

No bachelor’s degree is required, and training is provided. This is a community-based role with mileage reimbursement and opportunities for additional hours based on referrals and needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• No bachelor’s degree required; training provided.
• Patience and the ability to teach skills in clear steps.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized job coaching at community employer worksites.
• Help participants learn and perform assigned job duties.
• Teach workplace routines, safety, time management, and employer expectations.
• Reinforce appropriate workplace communication and professional behavior.
• Monitor progress and adjust support as participants become more independent.
• Complete accurate progress notes and required documentation.
• Communicate schedule changes and safety concerns to management.
• Participate in required training and supervision.
