Job summary

Howard Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join its Entertainment Technology Adjunct Faculty Pool for ENTE courses. Courses cover theatre technology, event technology, AV, lighting, sound, video, and troubleshooting. The pool is reviewed when needs arise and clears annually in January; applicants should reapply.

Adjunct instructors may teach 1–3 courses per semester depending on schedule. Faculty may participate in professional development and collaborate on special projects as

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher is required; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching theatre courses.
• Available to teach face-to-face and/or online classrooms.
• Ability to learn and use Canvas LMS for course information, assignments and grades.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course materials and update Canvas for assigned ENTE courses.
• Attend faculty/staff meetings and complete required trainings.
• Meet with students as needed and provide feedback on work.
• Grade and assess student work and deliver quality instruction.
• Adhere to division and college employment requirements.
