Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will work alongside doctors delivering gold-standard, compassionate care to pets and their people, in a fast-paced, emotionally intelligent environment.

You'll participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while growing your skills and contributing to a culture built on empathy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Certified veterinary technician in the state where VEG practice is located is required; VTS a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software/EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, and emotional support in emergencies.
• Assist doctors across tests, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to pets and support to their guardians.
• Operate equipment and administer medications, IVs, and fluids as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team and contribute to care plans.
• Be ready to perform CPR and assist during high-stress scenarios.
