Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will handle a broad range of emergencies, from triage to critical care, collaborating with doctors and teammates to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA program preferred.
• CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the practice state is required; VTS is a plus.
• 1+ year veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty is preferred.
• Proficiency with practice management software and EMR systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and deliver nursing care across emergencies and routine cases.
• Provide treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and maintain compassionate support for pet parents.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques and equipment as needed.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Collaborate with team to plan care and ensure smooth workflow.
• Support training and growth through mentorship and learning opportunities.
