Job summary

Sylvania in Blaine, MN is seeking a part-time Elementary Paraeducator to support students and teachers across instructional tasks. The role runs 184 days per year at 5.25 hours per day, with an ASAP start and benefits for assignments of 6+ hours per day.

Under teacher supervision, you will assist students individually or in groups, support behavior and social-emotional learning, maintain records, supervise common areas, and assist with technology resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be physically working in the building and able to lift 25 pounds.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work with technology and computers.

Responsibilities

• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments.
• Support students in behavior/skills room and distressed situations.
• Prepare and maintain student records and reports, inventories, and support technology resources.
• Supervise hallways, classrooms, playgrounds, lunchrooms, bus areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
