Job summary

Academy of International Studies Elementary, part of Capitol Region Education Council, is seeking an Aftercare Assistant to support PK3-5th grade students in our aftercare program. You will help supervise, assist with themed projects, and provide behavioral support when needed.

The position is part-time, starting immediately, with shifts from 2:45 pm on weekdays and 12:00 pm on half days, ending at 5:45 pm. Experience with elementary children and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience and confidence working with elementary-age children.
• Reliability, responsibility, professionalism.
• Ability to take direction easily and apply initiative.
• Provide creative planning and implementing structured activities/clubs.
• Training and experience using positive discipline and restorative practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise PK3-5th grade students in aftercare.
• Assist students with themed projects and crafts.
• Provide behavioral support when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
