Job summary

Charter One’s Academy of Before & Aftercare is hiring a part-time Teacher Assistant to support the Site Administrator in a safe, engaging, and enriching after-school program at the American Leadership Academy-Johnston campus.

The role runs Monday through Friday from 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM, with responsibilities including supervising students, facilitating activities, assisting with homework, and communicating with families to ensure a positive program experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Pass a background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during before- and after-school hours.
• Engage students with age-appropriate activities and games.
• Assist with homework support and guidance.
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about participation and behavior.
• Assist with setting up and organizing activity areas.
