Atlas Public Schools is seeking motivated individuals for the role of After School Support Specialist. This part-time, hourly position supports supervision, engagement, and safety of students in after-school programming.

The role is ideal for those interested in education, youth development, or pursuing a future career in teaching. Successful candidates help create a positive, engaging, and safe environment where students learn and build relationships after the school day ends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework or experience working with children preferred.
• Experience in education, childcare, summer camps, youth programs, coaching, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of students during after-school programming.
• Lead and support recreational, enrichment, academic, and social-emotional activities.
• Assist with transitions, attendance, snack distribution, and dismissal procedures.
• Build positive relationships with students while maintaining behavioral expectations.
• Support students in resolving conflicts and making positive choices.
• Ensure safety and well-being of all students at all times.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and program leadership.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of spaces and materials.
• Follow Atlas Public Schools policies and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties to support student success and program operations.
