Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Early Childhood Special Education Teaching Assistant (Self-Contained) for a part-time position in Illinois. Start date August 2026.

The role focuses on assisting students to participate in learning and to achieve IEP objectives under supervision of licensed teachers and therapists. Responsibilities include implementing instructional plans, modifying lessons as needed, administering tests, tracking progress, and supporting safety and classroom operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will hold a valid Educator License with Stipulations (PARA), Substitute License, or Professional Educator License.
• Applicants must meet PARA licensing requirements and submit documentation to the appropriate regional office.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities to maximize participation and achievement of IEP objectives.
• Implement instructional plans as determined by licensed teachers and therapists.
• Apply modifications to ensure learning objectives are met and keep students on task.
• Administer curriculum-based tests/quizzes.
• Record and update students' progress toward IEP goals.
• Provide support in non-instructional activities and maintain safety and order in school areas.
