Qualifications

• Must possess a valid TASN paraprofessional license from ISBE or have completed 60 college credits and pass paraprofessional assessments.
• Good knowledge of students with disabilities, English grammar and basic math, and ability to follow written/oral instructions.
• CPR training is highly desirable; if not trained, CPR training will be required after employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in reinforcing learning for students with various disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and personal hygiene support as needed.
• Help with daily living skills, mobility tools, and classroom equipment.
• Record student behavior, participate in field trips and trainings, and support documentation.
