Job summary

Bethel Church is seeking a part-time Finance Contributions Specialist in Redding, CA. The role centers on accurately recording contributions and related receivables, reconciling donor data, and processing merchant receipts while upholding strong internal controls.

The position requires attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and proficiency with Excel/Sheets. It offers 25 hours per week with a pay rate of $22.00–$24.00 per hour and opportunities for growth within nonprofit accounting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred accounting/finance background.
• Proven ability to process financial transactions and maintain accuracy.
• Experience with donor management and accounts receivable is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and ability to learn new software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive and record contributions and other receivables accurately.
• Reconcile donor records and Rock RMS with the Intacct General Ledger.
• Process deposits, wire payments, and contribute to donor reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold internal controls.
• Provide excellent donor and internal service; assist with administrative duties.
