Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our Stratford team. DSPs provide personalized care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, helping with daily living, community activities, and independence.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor health, administer medications on schedule, document observations, and coordinate with families and staff to implement care plans. Prior caregiving experience is preferred; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED verification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable identity documents.
• Background checks and health screenings required.
• Ability to document care in English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote independence and community involvement.
• Use mobility equipment with proper technique and ensure client safety.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations and implement care plans.
