Whole Life in Connecticut is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This part-time role emphasizes daily living support and community integration while prioritizing safety and dignity.

You will assist with ADLs, document care, and collaborate with families and supervisors. We offer training, paid orientation, health insurance, PTO, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass background and safety checks.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and choice-making to promote independence.
• Use mobility equipment (e.g., Hoyer lifts) with proper techniques.
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
