Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Waterford, CT. DSPs provide person-centered care to individuals with developmental, intellectual, and/or physical disabilities, supporting activities of daily living, independence, and community integration.

The role emphasizes building trusting relationships with clients and families, ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being, and collaborating with managers and staff to implement care plans that empower clients

Qualifications

Proof of High School diploma/Transcripts/GED equivalent.
Proof of valid driver's license, social security card, birth certificate, or passport.
Ability to pass a Background Check, safe driving record, and Abuse Registry Check; post-hire Fit for Duty physical and TB test within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal prep.
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and attend medical appointments.
Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry.
Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and promote independence.
Use mobility equipment with proper techniques.
Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately.
Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
Implement individualized care plans.
