Job summary

Alpha Health Services is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a participant in home and community settings. You will follow the ISP, provide transportation, promote independence, and document progress while building a trusted, caring relationship.

Requirements include DSP experience, a valid PA driver’s license with active auto insurance, and strong communication skills. The role offers roughly 10 hours per week with flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a DSP or in a direct care/caregiving role (required).
• Valid PA driver's license, active auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport the participant to community activities, appointments, and outings as per ISP goals.
• Provide personal care support with dignity and respect.
• Support community participation and social inclusion.
• Monitor health, behavior, or condition and report changes to supervisor.
• Document participant behavior, progress and status changes accurately.
