Job summary

Alpha Health Services is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to work one-on-one with a participant in community and in-home settings under an ISP. You will provide transportation, promote independence, document progress, and build a caring relationship while meeting HIPAA requirements.

Ideal candidates have DSP or direct care experience, a PA driver’s license with reliable vehicle, and strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling and meaningful, relationship-based work offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a DSP or in a direct care/caregiving role (required).
• Valid PA driver's license, active auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to support clients in daily living activities while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Transport participants to community activities and appointments.
• Provide personal care support with dignity and respect.
• Support community participation and social inclusion.
• Monitor health, behavior, or condition and report changes.
• Document participant progress and behavior accurately.
• Implement individualized care plans for each participant.
• Assist with meal preparation, respecting dietary needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team, supervisors, healthcare professionals, and family.
• Complete PA ODP training and keep certifications current.
