Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on diesel engine experience, including electrical troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.
• Strong knowledge of diesel mechanics, vehicle safety, and engine safety standards.
• Ability to travel to employer sites within NKY region.
• Experience training adult learners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach diesel mechanics topics including engine diagnostics, aftertreatment systems, electrical troubleshooting, and brakes/suspension.
• Deliver hands-on demonstrations and real-world troubleshooting scenarios.
• Reinforce safe work practices in all instruction.
• Prepare and maintain instructional materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with Workforce Solutions, employer partners, and learners on training logistics.
• Provide informal assessments and coaching to learners.
