Golden State Dermatology in San Francisco is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant/Office Support to prepare exam rooms, review patient histories, and support both clinical and front-desk tasks. The role involves assisting procedures, ensuring accurate records, and coordinating tests and treatments.

The candidate should have strong customer service, dermatology exposure preferred, and familiarity with EMR software (EClinicalWorks/EMA).

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and patient-centered approach.
• Healthcare or dermatology exposure preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR software such as EMA or EClinicalWorks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and notes in EMA.
• Ensure accuracy of MIPS information in medical records.
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Support dermatology providers during surgical procedures.
• Help front desk with calls, scheduling, and reception tasks.
• Maintain sterilization records and autoclave logs.
• Check medication expiration dates and maintain pathology records.
• Process prescription refills with proper authorization.
• Assist with pathology and culture log management.
