Qualifications

• Customer service skills or patient-centered mindset.
• Previous Dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics experience.
• Knowledgeable with insurance carriers (i.e., Medicare, commercial, HMO).
• Familiarity with EClinicalWorks or EMA EMR software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies; keep rooms stocked.
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and notes in EMA.
• Ensure MIPS information is completed in the medical record.
• Assist with scheduling tests and treatments.
• Assist providers during surgical procedures (excisons, Mohs, cosmetic).
• Support front desk with phones and scheduling needs.
• Maintain autoclave records and perform spore testing.
• Check medication expiration dates and biopsy records.
• Process prescription refills and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Manage pathology and culture log with care.
• Multitask to complete duties timely; additional tasks may be assigned.
