Job summary

Golden State Dermatology is expanding across California, seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and guide patients through their treatment. Duties include room preparation, chart review, and front-desk assistance as needed.

The role requires multitasking and attention to patient satisfaction, with opportunities to assist in Mohs and cosmetic procedures. Strong EMR knowledge and prior dermatology experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics is preferred.
• Ability to manage front desk tasks and patient check-in/check-out.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers, authorizations, and billing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and stock.
• Assist providers during procedures (excisons, Mohs, cosmetic procedures).
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and ensure accurate EMA notes.
• Process prescription refills and ensure prescriptions are authorized.
