Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills, with emphasis on safety and compliance with store policies. The position may be part-time with physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs andstanding for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail/food service experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
