Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked and clean. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and professional conduct in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, restocking, and maintaining store cleanliness while following store policies. Part-time status may apply, with duties assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
