Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a part-time Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor to be located on the Floyd County Campus and may travel to other campuses to meet operational needs. The instructor reports to the Dean of Business and Public Service Technologies and must work on campus with no telework option.

The role involves developing course outlines, preparing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, maintaining required documentation, and ensuring safety in the training area.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts required.
• Five years of food service experience or two years of supervisory/management experience in food service.
• ServSafe certification with the National Restaurant Association.

Responsibilities

• Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Prepares lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
• Maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensures safety and security requirements in the training area.
• Meets with students and staff to discuss instructional programs.
