Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is hiring a Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor to be based at the Floyd County Campus, with travel to other campuses as required. The role reports to the Dean of Business and Public Service Technologies and requires on-campus presence with no telework option.

The instructor will develop outlines, prepare lesson plans, assess student progress, manage supplies and budgets, and ensure program certifications are maintained while supporting recruitment and student

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and five years of food service experience, or two years of supervisory/management experience.
ServSafe certification with the National Restaurant Association.
Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses.
Evaluates students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests.
Maintains program certification requirements.
Prepares and maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
Meets with students, staff, and other educators to discuss instructional programs.
Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
