Job summary

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Culinary Arts Program Director and Instructor to be based on the Floyd County Campus. The position requires travel to other campuses and reports to the Dean of Business and Public Service Technologies; on-campus presence is required with no telework option.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate degree in culinary arts.
• Minimum of 5 years food service experience or 2 years supervisory/management experience in food service.
• Industry certification related to teaching (ServSafe) required.

Responsibilities

• Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Maintains program certification requirements and required documentation.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Meets with students, staff and other educators to discuss instructional programs.
• Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Associate degree in Culinary Arts

ServSafe certification with NRA

Certified Culinary Educator (C.C.E.)

Certified Executive Chef (C.E.C.)

Certified Executive Pastry Chef (C.E.P.C)
