Job summary

Cape Fear Community College is seeking a Credential Completion Specialist to review student records and determine eligibility for certificates, diplomas, and degrees. You will evaluate coursework, transfer credits, substitutions, and waivers, using Ellucian Colleague, Informer, and degree audit tools to identify eligible credentials.

Raising completion rates and ensuring accurate academic records are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• One year of experience in a higher education setting.
• Experience in a Registrar’s Office with degree audit/credential completion work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review student records to determine eligibility for certificates, diplomas, and degrees.
• Evaluate coursework, transfer credits, substitutions, waivers, and other credits to complete program requirements.
• Utilize Ellucian Colleague, Informer, degree audit tools to identify credential completion status.
• Assist with training credential review processes for staff as needed.
• Execute batch completion reviews and FPAT reporting to identify credential opportunities.
• Maintain records of completion reviews and credential awards in accordance with policies.
• Monitor data quality and improve credential evaluation and awarding processes.
