Job summary

Hemet Hills Post-Acute is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for both part-time and full-time opportunities. You will implement OT treatment plans, assist with mobility, self-care, and documentation, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence for residents.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in OTA, current CPR, and experience in post-acute or skilled nursing settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving mobility, self-care, and functional abilities.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Provide education and support to residents and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations.
