Job summary

Hemet Hills Post-Acute is actively seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our compassionate team in Hemet, California. We offer both full-time and part-time positions to help residents regain independence and improve daily living skills under OT supervision.

You will implement treatment plans, assist with mobility and self-care, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal rehab outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current, active COTA license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain during orientation.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, post-acute, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents in improving mobility, self-care, and functional abilities.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Provide education and support to residents and families throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations.
