Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. The RN will assess inmates, administer medications, and coordinate with the healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care.

The role requires CPR/BLS certification and experience in correctional healthcare is a plus. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, preparing exam rooms, and educating inmates on health maintenance while ensuring HIPAA compliance and security

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license; maintain license.
• Degree or diploma from an approved nursing program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional healthcare preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify health problems of new inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications as needed.
• Prepare equipment, records, and rooms for examinations; assist provider.
• Maintain IVs and IV therapies as needed.
• May serve as Charge Nurse or Acting Supervisor in absence of HSA.
