Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing services to inmates in a correctional setting. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while coordinating with the health care team and maintaining security requirements.

The role requires current RN license, completion of an approved nursing program, and CPR/BLS certification; correctional experience preferred. Shifts include 6a-4p or 12-10p, with a minimum 15 hours monthly schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from an approved nursing program.
• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to daily medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist providers when needed.
• Maintain IV therapies and monitor IVs as required.
• Delegate tasks and educate patients on prevention.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
