Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. You will assess inmates, document care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the health care team to maintain security and health standards.

The role requires Colorado RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification, with on-site shifts and a minimum schedule of 15 hours per month. You will support physicians and ensure HIPAA-compliant patient care in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in correctional healthcare preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications as needed.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for examinations and assist providers.
• Maintain IVs and IV therapies as required.
• Coordinate with HSA and may act as Charge Nurse when needed.
• Follow emergency procedures and triage guidelines.
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
