Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility. The RN will assess inmates, plan and implement care, and collaborate with the health care team while supporting security requirements.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in good standing
• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the state accrediting agent
• Experience in correctional healthcare preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare equipment, records and rooms for examinations; assist providers as needed.
• Maintain IVs and IV therapies as required.
