Job summary

Monarch Communities of Paramus seeks a part-time cook at 567 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ. You will prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and assist with inventory and regulatory compliance.

Required: ServSafe certification or ability to obtain, one year of related experience, high school diploma or GED, and weekend availability. Final pay is based on experience, with hourly compensation of $21–$25.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification current or able to obtain.
• One year of related food preparation experience.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Strong organization, time management, judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals.
• Meet special dietary needs and texture-modified foods.
• Maintain record keeping, food safety and risk management.
• Monitor food prep, storage and handling per HACCP and labeling.
• Maintain temperature logs for food and storage units.
• Attend in-service trainings as scheduled.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
