Job summary

Monarch Communities in Howell Township, NJ is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests. Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, you will study recipes, set up menus and ensure high-quality dishes while maintaining sanitation and regulatory compliance. The role requires ServSafe certification and at least 1 year of related experience.

Full-time shifts are 6am-2pm or 11am-7pm with an hourly rate of $24.00-$26.00. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain one.
• At least 1 year of related food preparation experience, including special diets.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals.
• Meet and document special dietary needs and texture-modified foods as directed.
• Ensure compliance with record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements.
• Monitor food preparation, storage and handling per HACCP, labeling and storage protocols.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs for hot and cold foods, refrigerators and freezers.
