Job summary

StoryPoint is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare meals for residents and guests. You will work 6am-2pm or 11am-7pm, following planned menus and standardized recipes. A strong emphasis on teamwork, cleanliness, and food safety will be essential.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma and at least three years of line cook experience, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years of line cook experience or training.
• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
