Job summary

Avante Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ormond Beach, FL is seeking a part-time cook to prepare meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with standards. You will follow menus, ensure proper portion control and safe storage, and assist with dining services tasks under the supervision of the Dining Services Manager.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old, English proficiency, and 2 years culinary experience with High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• ServSafe Certification (or certification within 90 days of hire date).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food, beverages and snacks in accordance with planned menus.
• Follow established portion control procedures.
• Ensure correct storage of raw and leftover foods.
• Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Attend schedule in-service training.
• Participate in Dining Services Department studies and projects.
