Job summary

Avante at Jacksonville Beach Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Cook to prepare resident meals, snacks and beverages in accordance with standards and procedures. You will follow menus, maintain portion control, and ensure safe storage of foods while supporting cleaning and safety protocols.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of culinary experience, a high school diploma or GED, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and following oral and written directions.
• Must speak and understand English.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 2 years of culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, beverages and snacks according to menus.
• Follow portion control procedures.
• Ensure proper storage of raw and leftover foods.
• Assist with cleaning duties.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety and infection control policies.
