Job summary

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a Community Support Professional to work one-on-one with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in San Diego County. The role focuses on building life skills, independence, and community participation through personalized support.

The position is part-time and on-site, with flexible scheduling. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a valid CA driver's license; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or can be obtained on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs is preferred, but not required.
• Pass DOJ background check.
• Valid California driver's license with a safe driving record and at least two years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct visits with assigned clients.
• Help individuals access and participate in their community.
• Support clients in working toward their ISP goals.
• Advocate for the individuals you support.
• Attend ISP meetings and complete required documentation.
