Job summary

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a Community Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in San Diego County. The role is part-time and on-site, with pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour, and involves working in clients’ homes and in the community to build independent living skills.

You’ll provide individualized support, help participants engage in meaningful activities, and collaborate with families and the support team to meet ISP goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs preferred but not required.
• Driver's license with safe driving record; reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct visits with assigned clients.
• Help individuals access and participate in their community.
• Support ISP goals and personal goals.
• Advocate for the individuals you support.
• Attend ISP meetings and communicate with family and support team.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
