Job summary

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a Community Support Professional to assist adults with developmental disabilities in San Diego County. This part-time, on-site role offers flexible hours and a pay range of $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with duties in community-based settings and clients' homes.

You will provide individualized support to help clients build life skills, participate in community activities, and move toward ISP goals, while maintaining required documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs preferred but not required.
• DOJ background check required.
• Valid California driver’s license with good driving record (2+ years).
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct visits with assigned clients.
• Help individuals access and participate in their community.
• Support clients in working toward ISP goals.
• Develop meaningful personal goals with clients.
• Advocate for the individuals you support.
• Attend ISP meetings and communicate with the support team.
