Home of Guiding Hands is looking for Community Support Professionals to work one-on-one with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our Community Support Professional provide individualized support to adults with disabilities. Depending on the program and the needs of the person you're working with, you'll help individuals build life skills, work toward personal goals, participate in their community, and become more independent.
This isn't a traditional office job. You'll spend your time working directly with individuals in their homes and throughout the community.
A typical day may include:
The goal is to help each person participate in activities that are meaningful to them while building greater independence and confidence. The job description specifically includes community activities, college courses, exercise classes, volunteering, and art programs as examples of the support provided.
As a Community Support Professional, you'll provide individualized support based on each person's goals and needs. Responsibilities may include:
This position also includes developing goals with clients, preparing ISP reports, attending ISP meetings, coordinating with the individual's support team, and maintaining required documentation.

Experience navigating community resources like Social Security, Section 8, and Medi-Cal is also a bonus.
