Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree in Social/Human Sciences or Psychology preferred.
• Two years' experience with homeless or low-income populations; include child welfare, family work, and substance abuse.
• Current F-80 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the director with work schedules and assignments for the staff
• Perform hourly house runs to inspections of facility and rooms
• Ensure staff members are in their assigned locations
• Monitor recreational rooms, laundry rooms and cafeteria to ensure residents follow schedules
• Arrange coverage for unscheduled absences and other unexpected situations
• Record and respond to incidents, client issues and complaints; perform crisis intervention procedures
• Track clients’ properties and store in lock up
• Ensure daily census is monitored and updated in CARES
• Perform weekly reconciliations to ensure metro cards are accounted for and distributed according to policy
• Assist with intakes of new and returning clients and submit them for approval
• Keep records of safety, fire, and building inspections
• Monitor fire and safety equipment to ensure it is functional at all times
• Monitor staff and assign tasks as necessary
• Other duties in keeping with the scope and nature of the position
