Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a part-time Courtesy Officer to preserve a welcoming, safe atmosphere at our Dayton, KY community. You will patrol the grounds, assist residents with lockouts, de‑escalate conflicts, and monitor common areas while coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

The ideal candidate has a law enforcement or military background, a high school diploma, excellent communication, and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Active or retired law enforcement officer or military background.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in all situations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent observational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Walk the grounds daily to maintain a visible security presence.
• Respond to noise complaints and de-escalate situations professionally.
• Assist residents with lockouts and other non-emergency needs.
• Monitor pools, laundry rooms, and fitness facilities.
• Check lighting and report maintenance needs to management.
• Observe and report vandalism, suspicious activity, or vehicle violations.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement when appropriate per policy.
