Job summary

Arlington Properties is seeking a part-time Courtesy Officer to help maintain a welcoming and safe multifamily community in Mobile, AL.

Ideal candidates are active or retired law enforcement or military, with a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm and professional.

You will patrol the grounds, respond to non-emergency needs, assist residents, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Active or retired law enforcement officer or military background.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain calm and professionalism in all situations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent observational skills.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence throughout the property by walking the grounds daily
• Respond to noise complaints and help de-escalate situations professionally
• Assist residents with lockouts and other non-emergency needs
• Monitor common areas like pools, laundry rooms, and fitness facilities
• Check lighting and report maintenance needs to the management team
• Observe and report vandalism, suspicious activity, or vehicle violations
• Support overall community safety through routine patrols
• Contact local law enforcement when appropriate, in accordance with policy
