The City of Santa Clarita is seeking a part-time/seasonal Recreation Leader II to support Canyon Country Community Center operations, classes, and events. The role includes front counter assistance, event setup, and back-up for operations.

Requirements include a HS diploma, 1 year in related settings, and CPR/First Aid certifications within 3 months. Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable. Flexible shifts may include weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in facility operations, customer service, recreation, clerical support, or related setting.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to address patron questions, concerns, and conflicts professionally.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to organize, prioritize, and follow up on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility, classes, programs, events, and rental setup/takedown.
• Assist with front counter operations, greet participants, answer phones, provide information.
• Create layouts for rentals and events; organize furniture and supplies.
• Assist instructors with attendance, safety ratio, and equipment needs.
• Supervise children in classes, camps, and after-school programs when needed.
• Operate facility equipment and ensure safety and cleanliness of areas.
