City of Santa Clarita is seeking a part-time/seasonal Recreation Leader II to support the Canyon Country Community Center. You will monitor facilities, assist with classes, events, and rentals, and help with front counter operations while ensuring safety and order.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 3 months. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualificações

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in facility operations, customer service, recreation, clerical support, or other related setting.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Works directly with staff to monitor the facility, classes, programs, events, and rental set-up and takedown.
• Assists with front counter operations, greeting participants, answering phones, and providing information.
• Creates layouts for rentals and events.
• Assembles furniture and maintains inventory of supplies.
• Assists instructors with attendance, safety ratio, and equipment needs.
• Supervises children in classes, camps, and after-school program when needed.
• Operates facility equipment (bi-fold doors, scoreboards, sound system, etc.).
• Ensures cleanliness and sanitization of facility and outdoor areas for safety.
• Inspects playground/outdoor areas for hazards; reports issues.
• Organizes, sets up, and cleans up after events and rentals.
