Job summary

The City of Santa Clarita is seeking a part-time/seasonal Recreation Leader II to support after-school programs and youth activities at Canyon Country Community Center. You will assist with camps, events, and daily activities while upholding safety and city policies.

Responsibilities include guiding youth, preparing supplies, and coordinating with supervisors for smooth program delivery. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of related experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Ability to work with youth and perform in a supervised program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with after-school programs, seasonal camps, and events for youth.
• Lead activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and games while ensuring safety.
• Prepare materials, set up/clean facilities, and assist with special events.
• Provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Maintain logs, reports, and coordinate with supervisors.
