Portfolio Resident Service in Houston, TX seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to support residents in affordable housing communities with CORES certified services, developing activities, and connecting residents to resources.

You will collaborate with property teams, recruit volunteers, and maintain calendars, while handling outreach and program logistics with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends as duties demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, social work, nonprofit, or related field preferred.
• Volunteer experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to all residents, serve as an initial point of contact to the community center.
• Prepare reports based on the calendar, sign-in sheets, and contracted program hours.
• Design, create and post monthly calendars and flyers on-site; distribute door-to-door.
• Oversee program offerings, recruit volunteers, solicit donations and partner with community groups.
• Log communications with volunteers and donations; submit monthly log.
• Provide information about local resources or assistance to residents.
• Engage residents in program planning and communicate needs to staff.
• Monitor interactions with residents of all ages.
• Maintain sign-in sheets for each activity and program.
• Manage petty cash and replenish supplies; help maintain a clean, organized center.
• Assist management and PRS staff as needed.
