Job summary

Portfolio Resident Service in Texas seeks a Program Coordinator to support affordable housing residents through CORES certified services, promoting skills, healthy lifestyles and family development.

You will design monthly calendars, coordinate volunteers and donations, and connect residents with local resources while fostering a compassionate, hands-on community presence. This role offers a part-time schedule (1–5pm, 2 days/week) with flexibility in duties.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 2 days per week; Hours are 1-5pm (Mon-Fri).
• Experience in education, social work, non-profit or related field; volunteer work counts.
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or seniors in various capacities.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.
• Excellent organizational, computer and administrative skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with community and social service resources.
• Home computer with email access and light printing capability.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming atmosphere; serve as first contact at the community center.
• Prepare monthly activity calendars and track sign-ins and hours.
• Design and post flyers; distribute door-to-door on-site.
• Oversee programs, recruit volunteers, solicit donations, partner with others.
• Log communications with volunteers and donors; submit monthly report.
• Share information about local resources with residents.
• Coordinate resident planning; communicate needs to staff.
• Monitor activities; supervise the community center.
• Maintain organized PRS documents and binders.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
